My website, Boho Hippy Homes, is about crafting loving homes on a variety of topics ranging from budgeting tips to food, interior design and relationship advice. I write, edit, research, procure and design all of the content on my site, as well as the content strategy and sighting all sources and SEO research.
I started my site in 2017 under the handle, No Label Livings, where I explored the human condition, until 2022 when I changed it to Second Time ‘Round Boho Homes with a focus on home making. In January of 2024 I rebranded to Boho Hippy Homes where I refined the format that focuses on at least two, biweekly posts on a rotating theme.
Article For Hamilton/Wenham News
I wrote the above news article for H-W News, a local paper located in Hamilton-Wenham Massachusetts, a town North of the greater Boston area in January of 2025. The assignment was a 575 words at final edit, and two week deadline.
The article was on the opening of a new flower shop just off the main street. I conducted multiple interviews, took photos and did research on the subject. DIY Article For A Local Business, Unpacked Living, Beverly MA
I wrote this review for a local business, Unpacked Living, about their products with a focus on their refill station. It was not only a product review, but also a recipe on how to use their products to make eco friendly laundry detergent. I did all the research, edits, procured all photos and sited all sources.
Product Review: GoodLight™ Tea Candles
This is another product review I wrote for a local business, Unpacked Living, about “The GoodLight™”‘s tea light candles, and the first of a monthly review series, focusing on either the products they carry, or DIY projects using/highlighting the products the company keeps in stock.
I used a simple format, introducing the product and exploring the different types and options available. I then covered the pros and cons of burning different wax types, and then the basic maintenance of burning candles so the customer can get the most from their purchase. I concluded the post with a short story about why candles are special to me, painting an intimate scene, and a call to action of why purchasing these will impact their daily lives for the positive.
